Logan Township Meetings To Address Sewer Rates and Reorganization

Logan Township residents are reminded that if they have a beef with the proposed increase in sewer rates they will have a chance to be heard at a meeting tonight at the municipal building.

At 5:00 this evening supervisors are scheduled to adopt an ordinance increasing the monthly charge for sewer service from $46 to $53. The ordinance will also increases the township’s surcharge from 20 to 25 percent for sewage treatment service provided by the Altoona Water Authority.  Public comment on the new rates will be permitted at the meeting.

Following the 5pm meeting, township supervisors will hold a reorganization meeting for the election of officers and several appointments.
