Blair County Chief Deputy District Attorney Wade Kagarise has announced his candidacy for the upcoming vacancy on the Blair County Court of Common Pleas.
At Monday’s press conference Kagarise was endorsed and formally introduced by Blair County Sheriff Mitch Cooper who cited the candidate’s experience in dealing with an increasingly complex 2st Century justice system.
Kagarise said his campaign is a “community-wide call, to action” saying the strongest communities are ones where everyone including parents, teachers, pastors, priests, law enforcement and judges understand a shared responsibility.
In addition to support from Sheriff Copper, Kagarise’s campaign committee announced endorsements from several individual’s including District Attorney Richard Consiglio, Coroner Patty Ross, Controller Richard Peo, State Representative John McGinnis, Altoona Mayor Bill Schirf, and former Altoona Mayors Wayne Hippo and Torn Martin.
