Building At Veterans Home Quarantined Due To Flu Outbreak

An outbreak of the flu has caused a building at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home to be quarantined.

According to the State Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, there are four confirmed cases of influenza at Arnold Hall.

This has resulted in staff and patients in that area being kept away from other residents.  Visitation to Arnold and travel by patients in that building are also restricted.

No new patients are being admitted to Arnold Hall.

The state health department just last week reported that there have been more than 11-thousand laboratory confirmed flu cases with 22 deaths since the flu season began.
