Local Franciscan Brother Center Of Sex Abuse Case In Ohio
A Franciscan brother living in Hollidaysburg is at the center of sex abuse case in Ohio.
The Tribune Chronicle of Warren, Ohio, reports that claims have been settled against John F. Kennedy High School, the Diocese of Youngstown, and a branch of the Franciscan Order, stemming from allegations of abuse committed by Brother Stephen Baker.
Two men claim they were abused by Baker, when he was a baseball coach at the school. The abuse dates were reportedly prior to 1991.
Baker now resides at St. Bernadine’s Monastery.
The Order claims Baker has been removed from ministry and is under close supervision.
