State Rep. John McGinnis will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at his district office in downtown Altoona.
 
The office is located in the space formerly occupied by Rep. Rick Geist in the Gables Building on Twelfth Avenue.
 
The event is scheduled for 4:30 this afternoon.
 
An open house will take place tomorrow and Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.
 
The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
