A Blair County chemical company is expanding – and adding jobs.
An Albermarle company spokesman tells WRTA news their Tyrone plant will be undergoing a $30-million expansion project. About 20 new jobs will be added to the 177 people currently working at the facility.
Local economic development officials say its good news for a region that’s seen its manufacturing base decline over the past two decades. Albermarle has not said when their expansion projects will be completed.
