Logan to Spend Refinance Money on Roads, Leaf Vacuum

The $614-thousand that Logan Township saved on refinancing a bond issue last year will likely be spent on paving some roads and to purchase a new leaf vacuum.

The supervisors on Thursday also discussed purchasing bullet proof service windows for three township departments and installing sidewalks at Leopold Park.

Supervisor Ed Frontino says it was the township’s employees who made the suggestions.

Frontino says it’s natural that paving made the top of the list because it’s expensive to resurface roads. The money can only be used on capital projects that will have a long life span.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation). Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
