PSU Altoona Students Raise $100,000 for THON

Students from Penn State Altoona raised more than $100,000 for this year’s THON Dance Marathon.

It was the highest amount raised among all of Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses. Officials say last minute donations pushed the amount over the $100K mark. The university’s Fayette campus came in second, raising about $13,000 less.

This year’s THON shattered a new record. The event brought in more than $12-million for the Four Diamonds Fund. The 46-hour, student run marathon has also broken the $100-million mark since it began more than 20 years ago.
