Bedford Man Pleads Guilty To DUI Charges In Fatal Crash
The driver involved in a fatal crash in Bedford County last April has pleaded guilty to the charges against him.
According to police, Cory Childers was drunk when he crossed the double line on State Route 220 in Bedford Township and crashed into the driver's side of an oncoming car. Five year old Julyen Winters of Hagerstown Maryland was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
Childers pleaded guilty to three charges Tuesday, including vehicular manslaughter while DUI. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison. Sentencing is set for March 22.
