If you think gas prices are high enough already – brace yourself for even steeper increases.
AAA says Pennsylvania is expected to feel the brunt of the pre-summer price spike. The agency says it expects gas prices to top $4.25 a gallon next month. An AAA spokesperson says that’s because two Philadelphia refineries were recently idled and another is expected to close this summer.
The average price for gas in Altoona is about $3.77 per gallon – about 20 cents above the national average. Higher international demand for oil and ongoing political turmoil in the Gulf region is also to black for the increase.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
