Last week Altoona City Council adopted an ordinance approving submission of a question on the May 21st primary election ballot for election of a government study commission of seven members to study the existing form of government of Altoona and to consider the adoption of a home rule charter form of government.
City residents interested in serving on the study commission must obtain a petition from the Blair County Elections Office which is located in the courthouse in Hollidaysburg.
Petitioners must obtain 200 signatures by the March 12th deadline.
Questions about the petition should be directed to the elections office at 693-3287.
