Rally to Save Valley View Home

Healthcare workers at Valley View Nursing Home will hold another rally this afternoon outside of the facility.

The move comes as the Blair County Commissioners push forward with their plans to sell the home to a private operator. SEIU union representative Sharon Pope tells WRTA News that Valley View’s workers are standing up against the board’s plan for privatization.

Worker’s will begin lining up with signs at noon along the home’s driveway. A formal rally is set to kick-off at 3:15PM and will include several speakers.
