Logan Considers Video Security for Municipal Complex

Logan Township officials are exploring the idea of adding a video surveillance system to their municipal complex.

Manager Tim Brown said Thursday that officials received a ball-park cost figure of around $23,000. Police Chief Ron Heller says no vandalism incidents have been reported because the Chief Logan Drive site is more visible to passing motorists than their old location.

Supervisor Frank Meloy says it’s a sign of the changing times.

The board would have to seek bids if they decide to move forward. The video surveillance system is one of several projects the board is considering with money it saved from refinancing an older bond.
