A city man is facing charges following an assault on a woman overnight.
Altoona police tell WRTA News that they got a call just before 3AM reporting a disturbance at an apartment on the 900 block of 4th Avenue. That’s where police say 35 year old Jason Wike assaulted a female friend of his.
Wike fled the scene running through several properties before eventually being located hiding in the backyard of a home on the 700 block of 4th Avenue.
Among the charges Wike is facing; Simple Assault, Loitering and Prowling, False ID, and Possession of pills,
In addition there were two warrants out against him from Blair County and one from Huntingdon.
