The Altoona Area School District will hold a public hearing tonight to address the future of two of its elementary schools.
District officials plan to close Wright Elementary and Washington Jefferson Elementary Schools this summer. Families with children attending the facilities are not happy with the move.
District officials say a declining enrollment and the ability to save money prompted the considerations.
The meeting gets underway at 5:30 this ebening in the Altoona Junior High School Auditorium.
