Bedford County Woman Accused Of Stealing From Area PTO

Charges have been filed against a Bedford County woman for stealing from the Chestnut Ridge Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Organization.

According to police, Leanna Gottshall of Osterburg is facing 30 counts of forgery. Following her election as treasurer for the PTO last May, bills went unpaid resulting in the school being out by more than $11,000.

An investigation turned up more than 30 checks totaling more than $11,000 written out to Gottshall. She’s also accused of stealing cash from fundraisers.
