A prison inmate had to be hospitalized after jumping from a third floor balcony inside the Cambria County Courthouse.
The incident happened Monday morning while 19 year old Akeem Tyson Rhine was there for a hearing on charges of indirect criminal contempt of a protection-from-abuse order.
Officials say Rhine was handcuffed but managed to lunge over the balcony railing. He struck the lobby floor below and was unconscious for a short period of time.
Rhine was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown for treatment.
