Curve Previews Exhibition Game with Pittsburgh Pirates

The Altoona Curve is gearing up for next Saturday’s big exhibition game with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Ball club officials held a news conference Thursday to preview the event – which will be played at Blair County Ballpark. General manager Rob Egan says preparations have been going on for months.

Egan says 9,200 tickets have been sold – and the Curve has stopped selling tickets. He says additional standing room tickets may be available depending on the weather.

Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early and to be patient with parking – especially because of the large out-of-town crowed that’s expected to be in attendance.

Pittsburgh rock legend Donnie Iris is slated to sing the National Anthem.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation). Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
