Several concerned parents addressed the issue at Tuesday night’s school board meeting. The topic surfaced shortly after the board began to discuss closing two elementary schools earlier this year. Dawn Igoe asked the board to allow students currently on boundary letters to stay in place.
Board president Ryan Beers says the issue is still under review.
A consultant studying the closing is recommending the district discontinue their use in order to re-balance class sizes and to make sure classroom space is utilized efficiently.
