Logan, Altoona Sign Off on Enterprise Zone

Logan Township officials are backing a new Keystone Enterprise Zone that encompasses both the township and the City of Altoona.
Supervisors signed off on the designation at their Thursday meeting. Pat Miller of ABCD Corporation says the five-year program is designed to encourage growth in both municipalities.
Miller says it’s not a typical opportunity zone where property taxes are reduced.

He says companies could receive tax credits from the state. The zone would apply only to land already designated for commercial or industrial use under existing ordinances.
