Antis Township Supervisor Charged with Stealing Gas
An Antis Township supervisor has been charged with stealing gas from PennDOT.
State Police say 60-year-old Robert Smith Junior was an employee of the agency when the alleged thefts occurred. He has since retired. According to a criminal complaint, Smith used a PennDOT fuel card to fill up gas containers for his own use.
Troopers cited an illegal purchase March 17th at the Martin’s General Store in Bellwood. Smith is charged with misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking and access device fraud. He’ll appear June 6th in front of Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller.
Smith is currently in his second term as an Antis Township supervisor.
