Corbett, Kane, Praise Slain Officers at Ceremony

Governor Tom Corbett and state Attorney General Kathleen Kane praised the bravery of police officers at a ceremony honoring those killed in the line of duty.
They spoke at the Capitol complex Monday as the Pennsylvania State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police honored the five officers killed in 2012. One was a state trooper and others were local officers - two from Philadelphia, one from the city of Chester and one from Plymouth Township in Montgomery County.
Corbett, after describing the circumstances under which each officer died, said they must always be remembered.
The FOP says nearly 760 Pennsylvania law-enforcement officers have been killed in the past century.
