Five Candidates Advance in HASD Race

Five candidates will face off for four seats on the Hollidaysburg School District board of directors this fall.

Ron Sommer, Scott Brenneman and Patrick McClain each secured the Republican and Democratic nomination for school board director. Andrew Swope secured a Republican nod, while former district Athletic Director Dean Rossi captured a Democratic win.

McClain, Swope and Mark Dellinger ran on a platform of fiscal constraint while providing a quality education to students. Incumbent Brady Leahey has lost his bid for another four-year term on the board.
