Bids on Logan Sewer Project to Be Opened June 14th
Logan Township’s plan to extend sewer services to more residents is moving forward.
Board supervisors announced Thursday that they will open the construction bids for the estimated $10-million project on June 14th. Township Manager Tim Brown tells WRTA News that so far 10 contractors have placed bids so far.
The township has spent the last two years planning and designing the extension. Once finished, an additional 340 homes in the Rose Hill, Grandview, Homers Gap and Kittaning sections of the township will be brought onto the sewer system.
The project also includes a rebuild of current infrastructure in Lakemont. The project is being financed through bonds that were issued in 2012.
