Attorney Attached Staton Removed From Case

The death row inmate who punched his defense attorney, knocking him to the floor in Blair County Court will be getting new representation.
The appointment of Timothy Burns on the Andre Staton case has been vacated by Blair County Judge Elizabeth Doyle.
State Police have filed several aggravated assault charges against Staton, including aggravated assault of his attorney.  That charge could bring a life sentence.
The attack on his lawyer came at the end of a court session a couple weeks ago after Staton became upset when the judge refused to dismiss Burns as his attorney. Burns says he has been diagnosed with the most severe type of concussion.
