Work to Begin on Four Blair Bridges

Get ready to dodge some more orange construction barrels.
PennDOT says work will being June 3rd on four bridge projects across Blair County. Construction crews will first begin to rehabilitate the 7th and 8th Street bridges. Contractors will repair the bridge decks and apply an epoxy overlay. Traffic will be reduced to a single land and controlled by flaggers.
Once work is completed on those two bridges, workers will begin to place an epoxy overlay on the bridge deck on Route 865 over Main Street in Bellwood Borough as well as Frankstown Road over Interstate 99 in Logan Township.
Work on the $775,000 project is expected to be completed by October 2013.
