An Altoona man was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly beat up the woman he lives with.
City police tell WRTA News that around 11:15 last night 31 year old Jeffery Gindlesperger-Pender came home to his residence on the 2000 block of 11th Avenue drunk and started to argue with the woman. Police say that escalated to the point where Gindlesperger-Pender started to punch the woman repeatedly in the face, choked her and held her on the ground.
The victim managed to get away, run outside, and call the police.
She was taken to Altoona Regional for treatment of her injuries.
Gindlesperger-Pender is facing Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, harassment and Domestic Violence charges.
