Former WRTA Reporter Loses Cancer Battle

Funeral arrangements are in place for a former WRTA News reporter who died last week after battling cancer.
78-year-old Roy Goshorn died Thursday afternoon at the Altoona Regional Health System after bring diagnosed with brain cancer more than 9-months ago. Goshorn – a Bellwood native – left a successful career with ABC News in Washington to return home in the mid-1980s to care for his ailing parents.
He worked for several local news outlets over the past two decades, including a stint at WRTA from 2006 to 2008. Friends will be received from 6:00-8:00PM tonight at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home in Bellwood.
A funeral service is set for tomorrow morning at 11:00AM in Bellwood.
