FAA Investigating Plane Crash

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a weekend plane accident at the Altoona Blair County Airport in Martinsburg.
Around 1:00 Saturday afternoon the experimental plane, a single engine aircraft, experienced a hard landing, skidded off the runway and flipped onto its roof.
Two people on board were taken to Nason Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The frame of the plane was bent and the windows were broken. Airport workers had the site cleaned up within a few hours – an alternate runway was used for other airplane traffic.
The National Transportation Safety Board may also be called in to investigate.
