Day of Caring Helps Non-Profit Agencies

Volunteers are helping non-profit groups and human service agencies with 36 projects during the United Way of Blair County’s 20th Annual Day of Caring being held today throughout Blair County.

An additional nine projects will be completed in the next few weeks.
More than 230 volunteers from all over Blair County are assisting groups such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Blair/Clearfield Association for the Blind, Blair Senior Services and the Evergreen Manor Housing Community. Interacting with children, assisting the sight-impaired during an outing, cleaning a senior center and planting flowers as well as landscaping are a few of the projects that are being completed. The work being completed today will greatly benefit the communities served by these agencies.
