A major bridge construction project is set to get underway that will affect residents living in parts of Logan and Antis Townships.
PennDOT will begin replacing the bridge over Homers Gap Run on June 24th. Traffic on Grandview Road detoured at the construction site. Riggles Gap residents who travel into the city will be detoured onto Ponderosa Drive. Residents living in Homer’s Gap will be detoured onto Juniata Gap Road.
The detour will be in place through November 15th. PennDOT is replacing the structure with a pre-cast box culvert. Roadway and guide rail upgrades will also be completed. Total cost for the project is $980-million and construction will be completed by next spring.
