AYSO to Take Over Maintenance of Field

The Altoona Youth Soccer Organization will take over the care and maintenance of the county’s field behind Valley View Nursing Home.
Commissioner Terry Tomassetti says the AYSO’s rent will be reduced to $1.00 per-year because of the move.
The county decided to exclude the property from the sale of Valley View Home earlier this year. Tomassetti says the field is non-exclusive, meaning anyone can use the facility outside of weekends that it’s being used for soccer matches.
