City Police Investigate Mugging

A woman was mugged Thursday near local bank.
City police say the incident happened around noon as the victim was walking in an alley at the Investment Savings Bank, 1201 8th Avenue.
The woman was robbed of a bank envelope containing about $200. The mugger, believed to be a teenager, fled the scene on a black and green BMX style bicycle and was last seen heading east on the 1200 block of 5th Avenue.
The police do have significant clues to work with as the mugger left behind a pair of pink Adidas sneakers that he ran out of as he made his getaway.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 15 and 18 years old, with a thin build, light-colored hair, wearing blue jeans and a dark hooded sweatshirt.
