Johnstown Man Arrested In Altoona On Heroin Charges
A Johnstown man has been taken into custody and charged with selling heroin in Altoona.
On Tuesday, the Altoona Police Department and Blair County Drug Task Force working in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Attorney General – Bureau of Narcotics arrested 26 year old Clinton Thomas Mickens Jr.
As part of an investigation funded by Operation Our Town, officers conducted a buy of $900 worth of raw Heroin for distribution in the Altoona area. Mickens delivered the Heroin to the 1700 block of 7th Ave to a confidential informant. Upon the conclusion of the buy, officers took Mickens into custody without incident.
Police say that Mickens, who was previously convicted of selling drugs, made regular trips to the Altoona area to distribute Heroin.
Charges against Mickens include two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of heroin.
Mickens faces additional charges for delivering 50 bags of Heroin into the Altoona area back in March.
