Ex-Representative Mark Critz Seeking Democratic Nod for Lt. Governor

Former U.S. Representative Mark Critz is running for the 2014 Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor.

The former congressman from Johnstown, who was ousted last year in a district newly reshaped by redistricting, confirmed his plans Wednesday. Critz says his political supporters urged him to run for the No. 2 slot on the Democratic ticket.

He says he would provide geographic balance since the other candidates for the gubernatorial nomination are from eastern Pennsylvania.
