A Blair County manufacturer is getting a $525,000 state loan to expand its operations.
State economic officials said Thursday that Curry Supply Company will use the money to acquire and renovate a 10,600 foot manufacturing facility in Freedom Township. Curry Supply will be given 15-years to pay the loan back at a 2.25-percent interest rate.
The company will spend a total of $1.1-million to expand and retain 25 jobs. Officials say more positions could be added as the company grows. Curry Supply is a manufacturer and supplier of commercial service vehicles to the construction, oil and gas mining, and railroad industries.
The project is being sponsored by the Altoona-Blair County Development Corporation.
