Logan Sewer Expansion Project to Begin in September
A major sewer expansion project in Logan Township will get underway next month.
Township supervisors on Thursday gave the greenlight for the $11-million project to begin. Sewer Department director Dave Pozgar says now that the proper permits are in place, it will take a few weeks for the contractors to get their equipment moved in. He says township residents in the affected areas will be notified before dirt begins to fly.
Pozgar says residents won’t have to tap onto the new lines until next summer. Kukurin Contracting of Export and Continental Construction of Ridgeway will be responsible for extending sewer lines into the Homer’s Gap, Grandview, Kittaning and Red Hill neighborhoods. A rebuild of the Lakemont sewer system will also take place.
The expansion will bring 401 homes onto Logan Township’s sewer system.
