A Martinsburg man is facing charges following an alleged assault on Labor Day.
The incident happened around 1:30 Monday afternoon on State Route 36 at Cabbage Creek Road in Taylor Township. State Police say that 27 year old Jamie Lee Lynn, of 312 North Railroad Street, and a woman who has not been named, were traveling in Lynn’s vehicle when they started to argue. The argument escalated into something much worse when Lynn allegedly started to hit the woman in her face, chest and arms and put her in a headlock and choked her. He’s also accused of pointing a 45 caliber handgun at her.
The woman escaped and called 911 when Lynn stopped his vehicle at an intersection. When police pulled Lynn over they took him into custody and found the gun.
Lynn has been charged with Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault and Harassment.
