A top-ranking state lawmaker who represents Bedford County has been hospitalized in Pittsburgh – but House Republican officials aren’t saying why.
A spokesperson tells WRTA News that Representative Dick Hess had surgery for an ongoing leg problem – but following the surgery his conditioned worsened. Hess currently represents Bedford plus parts of Huntingdon and Fulton Counties.
No other information has been released. Hess is currently in his 14th term and he currently serves as the Majority Chairman of the House Transportation Committee. We’ll have more on this story as the information becomes available.
