Violent Crash In Allegheny Township Sends One Man To The Hospital
A two car crash Thursday morning in Allegheny Township sent a Steelton man to the hospital.
The accident happened along State Route 764 when according to police Michael Meo pulled out of the UPS Terminal and failed to yield the right of way to a car driven by Alyssa Weyandt of Duncansville. Weyandt’s car broadsided Meo’s car. The impact of the crash trapped Meo inside his car and members of the Allegheny Township Fire and Rescue Squads had to use the Jaws of Life to get him out.
Meo was transported to UPMC Altoona with moderate injuries. A three month old baby in Weyandt’s car was also taken to the hospital for a precautionary exam.
