Blair to Close Frankstown Township Bridge

The Blair County Commissioners have voted to close a bridge in Frankstown Township because of structural concerns.
County leaders said Tuesday that a recent inspection shows the County Bridge #26 is unsafe for motorists. The bridge carries White Bridge Road over the Little Juniata River. County engineer Cory Gehret conducted the inspection.
Gehret says the commissioners will need to determine whether to repair, rebuild or close the bridge altogether. Jersey barriers will be installed with enough room to allow bicyclists to cross the bridge safely.
