LTP: 27 PSU Students Charged with Underage Drinking

Logan Township Police have charged 27 students with underage drinking after breaking up a party near the Penn State Altoona Campus late last month.
Officers responded to 191 Woomer Road, where they found a house full of mostly Penn State Altoona students. Police had been in the area responding to another call when officers observed loud music and could openly see people drinking.
The students spoke to police outside, but they weren’t granted permission to enter the home. Officers secured a search warrant after suspecting the party involved underage students. Several liquor bottles and two kegs were confiscated.
Officials say it’s the first major bust of underage drinking party for the 2013-14 school year.
