An Altoona woman has been charged with using her high-heel shoe to assault a man at a Logan Township nightclub.
The incident happened back on December 12th, 2012 at the Island on Mill Run Road. Police say Ashley Plunket of First Avenue was among a group of girls fighting in the parking lot when the man asked them to move away from his vehicle. According to criminal charges, that’s when Plunket allegedly used her shoe to hit the man in the back of the head.
Police say the victim was able to use his cell phone to capture video of the group and turn it over to police. Plunket’s photograph was distributed through Crime Solvers of Blair County – and that’s where tips about her identity came into police.
The victim was taken to UPMC Altoona for treatment of his injury. Plunket has been charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
