Fire Company, Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Applications Now Available
Rep. John McGinnis is encouraging fire companies and volunteer ambulance services throughout the 79th District to submit an application for the 2013-14 Fire Company, Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program.
The application period will remain open until Oct. 24.
The grants may be used for construction or renovation of a unit’s station, the purchase or repair of equipment, training or debt reduction.
Last year, 2,665 fire and ambulance organizations statewide received more than $30 million in funding from the program, which was created by the General Assembly as Act 10 of 2007. The program is funded through state gaming proceeds.
