Police Use Phone to Track Stolen Vehicle

A Blair County man is behind bars after police used a cell phone to track down the car he had allegedly stolen.
Spring Township Police say the vehicle was taken Friday from an apartment near Bellefonte last week. The victim’s cell phone was still in the car – and police used global positioning data to discover it had been driven to Bedford County.
Police say the victim was able to identify Stephen Cornwell Jr. of East Freedom as the suspect. He was taken into custody by Cresson Borough Police on Friday night. Cornwell remains behind bars on $15,000 bail.
