A state trooper is in critical condition this morning after being shot while a warrant was being served in northwestern Pennsylvania.
Officials say the shooting happened around 2:00 Thursday afternoon at a home on Cemetery Hill road just outside of Brockway, Jefferson County, when troopers and other law enforcement officers tried to serve a warrant.
Deputy State Police Commissioner Lt. Col. George Bivens says that shots were fired as officers approached the house. A trooper, who has not been identified, was hit twice.
