Dirt will soon begin to fly on Logan Township’s major sewer expansion project.
Township officials say the two lead contractors are currently in the process of staging their equipment and gathering the resources needed to begin construction. Supervisor Joe Metzgar says the township is also waiting on permits to be approved with the Department of Environmental Protection.
Metzgar says only a minimum amount of township roadways will be disturbed when the project begins – that’s because winter is coming and the roads can only be patched. More than 400 homes in rural Logan Township will have access to public sewer once all the extension work has been completed next year.
