PennDOT to Lower Weight Limit on One Blair County Bridge
PennDOT will lower the weight limit on one bridge in Blair County in an effort to slow down its deterioration.
The change Tuesday affects the 10th Street Bridge which spans the Bald Eagle Creek in Tyrone Borough. The weight limit will be reduced to 36 tons from 40 tons. Vehicles exceeding the new weight limit must use an alternate route.
PennDOT says the change is necessary until proper funding can be secured to make the necessary repairs to the structure.
