A truck carrying a load of coal dumped part of its load onto a busy Blair County roadway Monday afternoon.
The accident happened along State Route 453 in Tyrone. State Police tell WRTA News that a trailer snapped loose from its rig, causing coal to spill onto the roadway and into the nearby wooded area.
Troopers say the truck was negotiating a sharp turn at the time – the rig itself remained upright. No injuries were reported. The name of the driver has not been released and the accident remains under investigation.
