The man wanted in connection to a weekend assault in Altoona has been taken into custody.
City police tell WRTA News that 33 year old Troy Stehley was picked up a little after 10 last night after a tip led police to a home on the 1600 block of 2nd Avenue.
Police had been looking for Stehley since he fled the scene of an assault on another man around 11PM Sunday.
Police say Stehley and the victim were kicked out of the 10th Street Café for causing a disturbance and then the two men got into an altercation down the block from the bar. The victim suffered serious injuries as a result of being beaten up by Stehely and after being taken to UPMC Altoona he was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Stehley is facing various charges including Aggravated Assault.
